We were financially normal: student loans, credit cards, car payments and a house payment. My husband and I were surviving, but not building a solid financial future.

In 2008 we got caught in financial turmoil.  We had to short sell our home and move in with my parents in 2009.  In 2010 we were $114,000 in debt.  We started to focus on paying off one debt at a time and started using a budget.  After 4 1/2 years we were debt free!

I am honest and open with my clients.  I share with them my own failures and hope they are able to learn from my mistakes, but most importantly let them know they are not alone on this journey.  My goal is to help my clients succeed, but they have to do the work.  

I am here for my clients to set goals, encourage them along the way and and teach them how to become money savvy.  I want to do my job so well that my clients no longer need me.

I coach because I have been there.  I remember what it felt like to not have enough money to pay the bills and to have to put groceries back because you couldn't pay for them.  I remember the shame and the guilt we had and the stress money brought to our lives.

I coach because I want to give others hope and an actual plan they can follow to remove the financial stress and reach their financial goals.
