Kristin Economos

I've been using YNAB consistently since 2016, when the software changed my own life at age 27. Witnessing such a transformation in my personal finances helped me to understand the importance of budget habits to flourish in young adulthood. I have an undergraduate degree in business, a master's degree in educational leadership, and fifteen years of experience training college seniors and early career professionals in their "launch" to adult life as young professionals. When I'm not coaching here, I teach a leadership training program for college students at Drake University, and spend time with my drooly golden retriever, George.

I'm light hearted, a good communicator, and use an accessible, inclusive teaching style  that ensures my clients gain the confidence they need to budget well. I spend time getting to know my clients on a personal level, and make a sincere effort to ensure that my coaching calls are supportive, organized, and judgment-free. Talking about money habits, spending, and debt are incredibly vulnerable topics; if we work together, I promise to honor you and wherever you might be starting with each of them.

I think financial wellbeing is crucial for a successful launch to adulthood, and have seen first-hand how healthy budgeting habits can create exponential results when practiced as a young professional. I love equipping my clients with tools that eliminate credit card debt, student loan debt, and the dread of buying a salad bowl you can't afford off your college roommate's upcoming wedding registry. I think young professionals are the best part of the YNAB community, and their intelligence, creativity, and motivation to align their financial decisions with their values inspires me every day.
