My husband and I started using YNAB in 2012ish after going through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. We needed a tool to help us manage the new budget we were trying to implement. Along the way, we learned about and adopted some of YNAB's money management method, too. Fast forward to now: we're debt-free (except for the mortgage) have a much better idea of what our "true expenses" look like and have savings for when "life" happens. I run a profitable bookkeeping services business that provides bookkeeping, budgeting and business advisory services to service-based business owners and individuals.

Because I've been there before and I am there now. On the personal side, I've been stressed, scared and overwhelmed by my finances; drowning in debt, living paycheck-to-paycheck and not sure how to get on the other side of it all. On the business side, I *know* how hard it is to keep up with the budget and bookkeeping amongst all the other hats a small business owner wears. And I also know that in both areas of life, confidence and clarity in finances is vital to a peaceful and profitable future.

I coach because people can often feel overwhelmed by, out of control with and incompetent about their finances. My husband and I felt all of those things when we first got married and, with the help of tools like Financial Peace University, Profit First and YNAB, we were able to work through it all. I want to help others feel like they finally understand their priorities and how to align their finances with those priorities, whether personal or business.
