Coaching Application Criteria

Our goal is to find enthusiastic, curious and dedicated individuals who are passionate about YNAB and the potential of how YNAB can help others reach their money goals. And while YNAB Certified Budgeting Coaches are not YNAB employees, our goal is for these coaches to embody YNAB’s seven core values.

We also recognize that the “You” in You Need A Budget means everyone. We all need a budget. To that end, we aim to build our coaching cohorts with coaches-in-training who have diverse backgrounds and want to reach out to different communities.

We’re looking for a group of coaches who have a clear vision or outcome they’d like to achieve after becoming certified. We want a mix of coaches who either have an established coaching business (financial coaches, life coaches) or who are looking for a side-hustle.
